How to Open Task Manager in Windows 10
Task manager is the location that lets you know very easily that which apps are running in the background and interrupting you while you are working.

Sometimes we are working and our work gets hang if we are doing many tasks simultaneously. Multiple apps running and multiple things on one PC. People get worried that what is this happening, and some people even don't know that how to open a task manager, and what the purpose of a task manager is.
A task manager consists of Processes, Performance, App History, Startup, Users, Details, and Services.
These all buttons let us know the list of applications running in the background, and the previously used and opened apps, or most frequent apps used. It also provides the details of every user information, the performance rate of CPU and other memory connected RAM and ROM.
Opening task manager is very simple. There are various ways to open the task manager.
The first way to open the task manager is:
Using CTRL + Windows+ Delete:
Steps:
- Clicking CTRL + Windows+ Delete consecutively, a window will appear.
- A list of options will appear.
- The last option would be the task manager.
- Click task manager.
- And see the status of work running in the background and interrupting you with your work.
From Taskbar:
It is very easy to open a task manager from the taskbar.
Steps:
- Left-click from your mouse on the taskbar.
- A list of options will appear.
- See from the bottom of the list of the options.
- Click task manager.
- And here you go.
From Search Menu:
Clicking on the search menu allows you much convenient to open task manager. Click on the search button. Type task manager. Click task manager from the list of options that appear.
The task manager window will appear in a short time.
By Pressing Windows + R
By pressing Windows + R, a short dialogue box will appear. Type task manager. Click ok. Task manager window will appear soon or by pressing enter key after typing task manager in the RUN dialogue Box window.
From Local Disk C:
This is although a bit long process and takes a while to be done, but need not worry.
Steps:
Follow these short steps:
- Click on file manager.
- Click on local disk C.
- Click on Windows from the list of folders in that location.
- Then from Windows, click on system 32.
- Then click on Taskmgr.exe or press Enter key.
- The Task Manager window will open.
By Creating Shortcut and by pinning it:
BY creating a shortcut of task manager once you have opened it. You can easily open the task manager by doing this. Once you opened the task manager, then left click with your mouse on the icon of that task manager window appearing just in your taskbar. Click on the pin on the taskbar, it will pin on your taskbar.
You can also create a shortcut by following the same steps. In the same way, you have to left-click on the icon and have to press create a shortcut. The shortcut of a task manager will create shortly on the desktop.
